Ilkeston FC can today announce that talented young midfielder Callum Chettle has signed a one contract with the club this afternoon.
Son of former Nottingham Forest player Steve Chettle broke into the Ilkeston first team at the end of the 2012-13 season after impressing in the academy, he has also played well in the games he's appeared in so far this season.
Chettle began his career at Nottingham Forest where he stayed up until under 16 level, upon being released he followed in his fathers footsteps and joined Ilkeston.
Ilkeston FC manager Kevin Wilson said:
“It's a really positive signing for the club, it's great to see young talented footballers like Callum come through the academy.
“He's a good example of what we're trying to do here at the club with bringing talented youngsters through our ranks, I hope we can see more of the same in the future.
“Callum certainly has a lot to offer and there's no doubt that he'll go onto bigger things in the future as he has the potential to do so.
“But for now i'm delighted he's signed and I look forward to seeing him progress and grow as a player.”
