Focus on Fylde replay, insists Wilson

Monday 22 October

Kevin Wilson insists that it's "pointless" talking about the possibility of facing Accrington Stanley until Ilkeston FC have booked their place in the first round proper of the FA Cup.

The Robins will face the npower League Two club at the New Manor Ground on Saturday November 3 if they win tonight's replay against AFC Fylde.

But Wilson (pictured) said: "It's always good to be drawn at home in the Cup but to be honest, it's pointless discussing it at this stage.

"We've got a massive task ahead of us against a very capable AFC Fylde outfit and we really need the people of Ilkeston to help us out.

"Hopefully they will turn up in their numbers and get behind us because that could make all the difference.

"We could - maybe should - have won on Saturday and that was a good effort. But I'm certainly not thinking we have done the hard part and I hope the players aren't either.

"There is a lot of work still to be done and I think there's every chance that the team who want it the most will go through. We have to make sure it's us."

Wilson has to decide whether to start tonight with Gary Ricketts and Laurie Wilson, after they returned on Saturday following lengthy absences through injury.

But apart from skipper Russell Cooke, there are no other major injury concerns so the scene is set for what will surely be one of the biggest nights in Ilkeston FC's brief history.

• Normal League prices apply tonight and please note that extra time and penalties will be used if necessary to decide the winner.
