Huge increase in season-ticket sales
Tuesday 10 July

Supporters were denied the chance to witness the first action of the season when heavy rain caused the scheduled game against Skegness United to be cancelled - but it didn’t prevent many of them from still heading for the New Manor Ground.
Saturday was the cut-off date for purchasing a season-ticket at ‘early-bird’ prices and Ilkeston FC officials were delighted with the steady flow of sales.
A total of 56 fans have so far committed themselves to following the Robins for the complete season - a huge increase on last year - and that’s seen as very encouraging.
Many fans also visited the new Club Shop on the first day it was open for business and it did a particularly brisk trade in the new orange away shirts.
Customers were able to look at the extended range of merchandise now on offer, which includes a number of sample products. These will be manufactured if there is sufficient demand and numerous supporters placed orders to purchase them.
In response to enquiries, plans are currently being discussed to open the Club Shop for a limited period on specified non-match days.
• Kevin Wilson, Darren Caskey and members of the first team squad are pictured officially adopting the new away strip at the Club Shop on Saturday.
